New Teaser for Live-Action ONE PIECE Season 2 Features Our Best Look at Chopper Yet

Netflix has offered us out best look yet at Tony Tony Chopper in a new teaser trailer for Netflix’s live-action One Piece series. It was released as part of the Jump Festa 2026 showcase in Japan, giving fans a fun look at how the beloved reindeer will exist in the live-action world.

The teaser confirms that Tony Tony Chopper is fully CG animated and seamlessly integrated alongside the cast as the story heads into the Drum Island arc. Chopper isn’t just a mascot character. He’s emotional, funny, and central to the heart of the crew, so getting him right is essential for the show’s future.

Netflix also revealed who’s voicing Chopper in the English dub, with Mikaela Hoover bringing the character to life. Fans of Superman and Guardians of the Galaxy will recognize her voice, and the teaser gives a sense of the playful energy she’s bringing to the role.

The teaser also highlighted the voice actors behind Chopper across multiple dubs, including a huge return that longtime anime fans have been hoping for. Ikue Otani, the original voice of Chopper from the anime, is officially reprising her role for the Japanese dub of the live-action series.

Because Chopper interacts so closely with the main cast, the CG work needed to strike a strong balance between realism and the character’s signature charm. Based on what we’re seeing here, the creative team did a great job refining his look and movement, aiming to make him feel natural in the live-action setting.

The teaser also reinforces the ambitious scope of Season 2, officially titled One Piece: Into the Grand Line. The new season adapts several arcs from Eiichiro Oda’s manga, including Loguetown, Reverse Mountain, Whiskey Peak, Little Garden, and Drum Island. Netflix has confirmed an eight-episode run, with the season set to premiere on March 10.

The Straw Hat crew is back in full force, with Iñaki Godoy returning as Monkey D. Luffy, Taz Skylar as Sanji, Emily Rudd as Nami, and Mackenyu as Zoro. Their chemistry was a major reason Season 1 connected with audiences, and Season 2 looks ready to build on that in a bigger more exciting way.

One Piece Season 3 is now in production, with plans to adapt the Alabasta saga and expand the roles of characters introduced in Season 2, including Chopper.
