New THUNDERBOLTS* Promo Spot Introduces The Sentry as The MCU's New "Mightiest Hero"

Marvel has released a new promo spot for Thunderbolts* and it introduces The Sentry and the MCU’s new “Mightest Hero.” It makes sure to point out that he's going to be stronger than all of the Avengers combined.

The spot featuring plenty of new footage from the Marvel movie, including more of The Sentry than we've seen in any previous trailers.

In the footage, it’s Valentina Allegra de Fontaine who claims The Sentry is stronger than all of the Avengers "rolled into one" and adds that he's soon to be known as "Earth's mightiest hero."

However, we all know The Sentry is going to go rougue as The Void is unleashed on New York. “Bob” ponders in the spot, "Why would a God take orders from anyone?"

With Lewis Pullman confirmed for Avengers: Doomsday, we know this won't be the last we see of him in action. Also, the world will need him in the fight against Doctor Doom.

The plot summary reads: “A world without Avengers doesn't mean there's not a group of superheroes. There is a group and they're called the Thunderbolts. A group of supervillains from the MCU are recruited to go on missions for the government.”

Julia Louis-Dreyfus reprises her role as CIA director Contessa Valentina Allegra de Fontaine in Thunderbolts*. She made her debut in The Falcon and the Winter Soldier on Disney+ when she talked John Walker (Wyatt Russell) into dropping the Captain America persona in favor of U.S. Agent.

De Fontaine later showed up in the post-credit scene in Black Widow when she assigned Yelena Belova (Florence Pugh) to eliminate Clint Barton/Hawkeye (Jeremy Renner).

Her most recent appearance was in Black Panther: Wakanda Forever, and there it revealed she was director of the CIA.

The cast of Thunderbolts* also includes Sebastian Stan as Bucky Barnes, David Harbour as Red Guardian, Hannah John-Kamen as Ghost, and Olga Kurylenko as Taskmaster.
