New Trailer For DC's AQUAMAN AND THE LOST KINGDOM Teases "Aquaman's Last Stand"
Warner Bros. has released a new trailer for director James Wan’s Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom. It offers a ton of new action-packed footage and teases that this will be “Aquaman’s Last Stand”. I have no doubt that this is going to be the last Aquaman movie with Jason Momoa as his next DC role is shaping up to be Lobo. That hasn’t officially been announced, but the writing is all over the wall.
The trailer also reminds you that tickets are now on sale, so you can buy them now if you’re excited about seeing the movie. I’m not seeing a lot of excitement for it, though. The superhero movie trend is definitely on a downward spiral. Regardless, at the very least, the movie does look like it will have some cool action sequences that audiences will enjoy.
In the film, “Having failed to defeat Aquaman the first time, Black Manta, still driven by the need to avenge his father’s death, will stop at nothing to take Aquaman down once and for all,” the official Aquaman and the Lost Kingdom synopsis reads. “This time Black Manta is more formidable than ever before, wielding the power of the mythic Black Trident, which unleashes an ancient and malevolent force. To defeat him, Aquaman will turn to his imprisoned brother Orm, the former King of Atlantis, to forge an unlikely alliance. Together, they must set aside their differences in order to protect their kingdom and save Aquaman’s family, and the world, from irreversible destruction.”
Momoa is joined by Patrick Wilson as Orm, Amber Heard as Mera, Yahya Abdul-Mateen II as Black Manta, Nicole Kidman as Atlanna, Dolph Lundgren as King Nereus and Randall Park as Dr. Stephen Shin.
Warner Bros. will release the film in theaters on December 20th.
