New Trailer for Netflix's Supernatural Adventure Series DEAD BOY DETECTIVES
Netflix has released an exciting new trailer for its supernatural adventure series, Dead Boy Detectives. The series is based on characters created by Neil Gaiman and Matt Wagner, and it centers on two dead boys who decide to ditch the afterlife and quite literally become detectives.
The series is a ghost story that "explores loss, grief, and death through the lens of Edwin Payne and Charles Rowland , two dead British teenagers, and their very alive friend, Crystal Palace (Kassius Nelson)."
The synopsis reads: “Do you have a pesky ghost haunting you? Has a demon stolen your core memories? You may want to ring the Dead Boy Detectives. Meet Edwin Payne (George Rexstrew) and Charles Rowland (Jayden Revri), ‘the brains’ and ‘the brawn’ behind the Dead Boy Detectives agency.”
Teenagers born decades apart “who find each other only in death, Edwin and Charles are best friends and ghosts… who solve mysteries. They will do anything to stick together – including escaping evil witches, Hell and Death herself. With the help of a clairvoyant named Crystal (Kassius Nelson) and her friend Niko (Yuyu Kitamura), they are able to crack some of the mortal realm’s most mystifying paranormal cases.”
Steve Yockey developed the series for television. Yockey also serves as co-showrunner and executive producer alongside Beth Schwartz. Greg Berlanti, Jeremy Carver, Sarah Schechter, Leigh London Redman, and Gaiman also serve as executive producers of the series. The first episode is directed and executive produced by Lee Toland Krieger.
The cast of the series also includes Jenn Lyon, Briana Cuoco, Ruth Connell, Lukas Gage, and David Iacono. This looks like it’ll be a fun show to watch!
The project was originally developed for Max, but was later picked up by Netflix.
