New Trailer for WEIRD: THE AL YANKOVIC STORY - "The World Belongs to the Weird"
Daniel Radcliffe rocks out as Weird Al Yankovic in the first full trailer for Roku’s upcoming film Weird: The Al Yankovic Story. The trailer offers us some real insight into the story of Weird Al and his rise to fame. As you’ll see, his journey is filled with highs and lows, and as you’ll see, Madonna was a very bad influence in his life.
The biopic holds nothing back, “exploring every facet of Yankovic’s life, from his meteoric rise to fame with early hits like ‘Eat It’ and ‘Like a Surgeon’ to his torrid celebrity love affairs and famously depraved lifestyle. Weird: The Al Yankovic Story takes audiences on a truly unbelievable journey through Yankovic’s life and career, from gifted child prodigy to the greatest musical legend of all time.”
Radcliffe says he had a blast making the movie, saying that it was one of the most fun acting jobs he’s ever had, and it looks like he give an incredibly fun and entertaining performance. I’m super excited about watching this movie! I’ve been a fan of Weird Al ever since I was a kid, and I’m looking forward to watching this movie about the wild life he’s led.
The project is being produced by Funny Or Die and Tango. Yankovic is involved with the project as well, and he co-wrote the script with Eric Appel, who directed it. Evan Rachel Wood (Westworld, Phoenix Rising) also stars in the film and is taking on the role of Madonna.
Weird: The Al Yankovic Story will premiere on The Roku Channel starting on November 4th, 2022.
