New TV Spot for Marvel's WANDAVISION Which Is a 'Seamless Continuation' of the MCU,

Marvel has shared yet another TV spot for WandaVision, the crazy-looking upcoming series that will bring Wanda Maximoff and Vision back for a wild TV land adventure.

The series is a blend of classic television and the Marvel Cinematic Universe in which Wanda Maximoff and Vision—two super-powered beings living idealized suburban lives—begin to suspect that everything is not as it seems.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany reprise their roles in the series. When recently talking about the series with Emmy Magazine Bettany said, "I can tell you that there is no difference in production values. It feels very much like every Marvel movie that I've been involved in. It's a seamless continuation."

Executive producer Jac Schaeffer also discussed the upcoming series and talked about the show’s influence of shows such as Friends, Parks & Recreation, I Love Lucy, The Dick Van Dyke Show, My Three Sons, Father Knows Best, and The Adventures of Ozzie and Harriet.

“I knew there was a sort of wonder and sincerity to the two of them. Then you combine that with the world of sitcom, which on its face is false and ridiculous. But when you peer into it, it’s calm and warm and enmeshed without shared sense of what home is, what family is, and what this country is. So, we preserved the sanctity of their relationship and gave it a spin. This goes far beyond the banter-y stuff.”

I can’t wait to jump into it and see how the story for these characters plays out! It will have repercussions for the entire future of the MCU in Phase 4.

The series also stars Kat Dennings reprising her role as Darcy Lewis and Randall Park returning as FBI Agent Jimmy Woo from Ant-Man and the Wasp. It will also feature MCU newcomer Teyonah Parris as the grown-up version of Monica Rambeau, a character who first made her appearance in last year’s Captain Marvel, and Karthryn Hahn is playing Agatha Harkness.

WandaVision premieres on Disney+ on January 15, 2021.
