WANDAVISION Will Have Repercussions for the Entire Phase 4 of the MCU

We know that the events of WandaVision will tie into what happens in Doctor Strange In The Multiverse of Madness and that it will start Wanda Maximoff down the path of actually becoming Scarlet Witch. The series is sure to be a strange and trippy experience, and now we’ve learned that the events of the series will affect the entire future of the MCU in Phase 4.

Marvel Studios President Kevin Feige recently talked to Omelete after Marvel’s panel at CCXP and when asked about WandaVision, he explained:

"Having the opportunity to tell more of their story, to see more of what Wanda can do, more of what makes Vision Vision, and — most importantly — reveal a name that I'm not even sure we've said in the MCU yet, but we absolutely make a big deal of in the show, which is that Wanda is in fact the Scarlet Witch.”

He then went on to say that the series will have repercussions on the future of the MCU:

"What does that mean, that she is the Scarlet Witch? And that's what we play into in this show, in ways that are entirely fun, entirely funny, somewhat scary, and will have repercussions for the entire future Phase 4 of the MCU."

That’s pretty exciting, and I’m excited to see exactly how this series will affect the MCU. It’s obviously going to take Marvel to a whole new level of crazy.

Elizabeth Olsen and Paul Bettany are reprising their roles, and it’s said to be “a mash-up between American sitcoms throughout the decades and Marvel films with these characters.” It’s also been explained that the story “snowballs into an epic Marvel movie that you’ve grown to know or love.”

There was some previously released information revealed about the series regarding the style and tone of the series. As we’ve seen in early promos that have been shared, the series will start off with a Leave It To Beaver themed episode. From what I’ve heard, the series will also feature sitcoms from the 1960s, 1970s, 1980, 1990s, and the 2000s.

I’ve heard that one will be a Bewitched themed episode and that there will even be a Modern Family themed episode. When previously talking about the show, director Matt Shakman (Game of Thrones, The Boys) said, “It’s a blend of classic sitcom and huge, epic Marvel action.”

The concept for the series was conceived by Kevin Feige, and WandaVision debuts on Disney+ in Spring 2021. The more I learn about this show, the more excited I get!
