New X-MEN '97 Character Designs Have Been Shared
A lot of fans are excited about Marvel’s X-Men '97 animated series. It seems like it’s been in development forever, but one day it will be released and we’ll be able to enjoy what it has to offer. While we wait for that, we’ve got some new art to share with you today from the series that features the main characters in the series.
The characters featured include Jean Grey, Cyclops, Storm, Wolverine, Beast, Gambit, Jubilee, Sunspot, Morph, Rogue, Bishop, and the Master of Magnetism, Magneto.
The official synopsis for the series reads: "Storm and Wolverine try to continue the X-Men. Magneto comes in and wants to step up for Charles Xavier. Sinister comes in to try to end the X-Men once and for all." There are also some additional rumored details that you can read here if you want.
The series starts with Magneto and the X-Men after Professor X left for Shi'ar space in the original show's series finale. The series has been described as "a spiritual and tonal continuation of the classic 1990s series that aired on Fox," and a "retro love letter to the original."
