Nicolas Cage Would Reprise His Role as GHOST RIDER for Marvel If There Was "Some Spark to It"

I enjoyed Nicolas Cage as Ghost Rider! He was so fun in those first two Ghost Rider films, and he brought an awesome energy to the role. While I don’t know if we’ll ever see Cage reprise his role as Johnny Blaze again, I think fans would be excited to see him back in action as Ghost Rider.

The question is, would Cage even be interested in reprising the role again after all these years? And while the actor is contemplating retiring from making movies, The answer to that is… yes! During a recent interview with Uproxx, Cage said that he will become “very severe and stringent” about the types of movie roles he takes on in the future, but then added:

“I’m not saying no entirely. I’m saying if something came along that I thought had some pop to it, some spark to it, that maybe could be fun for folks to revisit, like a Face/Off 2 or Ghost Rider, that’s another conversation.”

So, if Marvel came to his to play Ghost Rider again, he’d actually consider doing it! They should take him up on that! It’s been reported that Kevin Feige wants to introduce Ghost Rider into the MCU and there was an attempt to get a Ghost Rider series made at Hulu, but that fell apart.

You know, Marvel Studios could do this as a scrappy low-budget movie, like the kinds of films that Cage has been making these days. They don’t have to spend $150 million + on it. They do it as a lower-budget indie-type Ghost Rider Marvel movie, making it gritty, hardcore, and badass, and they are guaranteed to make a profit.

Marvel needs to start thinking outside of the box. What do you think about seeing Nic Cage back as Ghost Rider?
