OBI-WAN KENOBI Actress Simone Kessell Joins YELLOWJACKETS Season 2

Simone Kessell (Obi-Wan Kenobi) has joined Season 2 of the hit Showtime series Yellowjackets. She will play the adult version of the character Lottie Matthews. The teen version of Lottie is played by Courtney Eaton (Mad Max: Fury Road), and she has been upped to series regular in Season 2.

Kessell plays Breha Organa, the mother of Princess Leia in Obi-Wan Kenobi. She’s also had roles in Our Flag Means Death, Reckoning, The Crossing, Of Kings and Prophets, and Terra Nova.

I’m a fan of this Yellowjackets series, and I’m looking forward to seeing the series continue. In the story, "Wildly talented high school girls' soccer players descend into savage clans after their plane crashes in the remote northern wilderness. Twenty-five years later, they discover that what began in the wild is far from over."

The series flashes back and forth between two periods: One, the aftermath of a plane crash, when the members of a girls’ soccer team have to fend for themselves; the other, in their adult lives, as they deal with the trauma of that experience in very different ways.

The series was created by Ashley Lyle and Bart Nickerson. The series also has a talented cast that includes Christina Ricci, Melanie Lynskey, Juliette Lewis, and Tawny Cypress, and the characters they play are incredibly interesting. The series also stars Ella Purnell, Samantha Hanratty, Sophie Thatcher, Jasmin Savoy Brown, Sophie Nélisse, Steven Krueger and Warren Kole. Lauren Ambrose also recently joined Season 2.
