Official Image of Liam Hemsworth as Geralt of Rivia in THE WITCHER Season 4
The first official photo for The Witcher Season 4 has been released and it give us our first real look at Liam Hemsworth in the role of Geralt of Rivia.
Some set photos previously found their way online, but this offers a proper look at Hemsworth, and well… it’s pretty much what all those deep fake images and videos made him look like.
Looks aside, it really all comes down to the performance. Will Hemsworth be able to match the energy and badassery that Henry Cavill brought to the role? That’s who everyone will be comparing Hemsworth to, and we’ll just have to wait and see how that goes.
Series co-star Freya Allan, who plays Ciri in the show, has said she feels sorry for Hemsworth as he deals with what's "not an ideal situation," but hopes fans give him a chance.
The Witcher series will come to an end with Season 5, and the final two seasons are shooting back to back. They will adapt the remaining of author Andrzej Sapkowski’s books, Baptism of Fire, The Tower of the Swallow, and Lady of the Lake.
The Witcher Season 4 will pick up soon after the Season 3 finale. "After the shocking, Continent-altering events that close out season three, the new season follows Geralt, Yennefer, and Ciri who are faced with traversing the war-ravaged Continent and its many demons apart from each other.
“If they can embrace and lead the groups of misfits they find themselves in, they have a chance of surviving the baptism of fire – and finding one another again."
The series also stars Joey Batey, Freya Allan, Anya Chalotra, and Meng'er Zhang. New additions Laurence Fishburne, who will play Regis, and Danny Woodburn, who is starring as Zoltan, are also pictured.
Season 4 will include eight episodes in total.
