Original Micheal Myers Actor Confirmed to Return For New HALLOWEEN Film
Jamie Lee Curtis isn't the only actor from John Carpenter's classic 1978 original Halloween film that going to return for this upcoming sequel from David Gordon Green and Danny McBride. According to Bloody Disgusting, the actor who originally played Michael Meyers all those years ago, Nick Castle, will return to the role.
This is a cool little thing for hardcore fans. After 40 years, the original actor who played the killer a.k.a. "The Shape", will be back to attempt to finish what he started. The report also confirmed that stunt performer and actor James Jude Courtney will also play Myers in the more difficult scenes to shoot and they've hired Academy Award-winning make-up and VFX artist, Christopher Nelson, who has worked on films such as Suicide Squad, Deadpool, Sin City, Kill Bill Vol. 1 and 2).
The new Halloween film takes place years after the original movie and will revolve around Laurie Strode (Curtis), her daughter, who is being played by Judy Greer, and her granddaughter, who's being played by Andi Matichak. The movie will movie forward as if none of the other sequels have happened, and Michael Meyers will not be portrayed as a supernatural being. But, one thing we can all expect is to see him come back after his sister.
The Halloween sequel will be released in theaters on October 19, 2018.
