Oscar Isaac Has Reportedly Met With Warner Bros. For a Role in THE BATMAN

If you're a fan of Oscar Isaac, you'll be happy to hear that he might end up playing a role in Matt Reeves' upcoming DC film The Batman. According to The Geeks WorldWide, the actor has met with Warner Bros. for "an undisclosed role" in the film and apparently Isaac is "very interested" in it.

We know that Reeves is looking to make a dark noir-style film that will focus on the detective side of the Dark Knight, and he has an idea for a story arc that would span over the course of a trilogy of films. It's said that he's looking to keep the story grounded but "will introduce at least some slight fantastical elements which fans of the hero will be familiar with."

As for who he might play in the film, at this point all we can do is speculate. It was reported that The Penguin could be the main villain in the story. The version of this Penguin is said to based on the Emperor Penguin version and he's been modeled after "a very dapper looking Richard Armitage." It's not hard to imagine Isaac in the role of Penguin. I bet he would be awesome in the role.

There are other villains in the rogue gallery that are sure to pop up as well that could include Two-Face, The Riddler, and Victor Zsasz. I like Isaac in the role of Penguin, though. That's where I'd place my bet.

When previously talking about the movie, director Matt Reeves said:

"I’ve talked about making it a very point of view noir-driven definitive Batman story in which he is investigating a particular case and that takes us out into the world of Gotham. I went on a deep dive again revisiting all my favorite comics. Those all inform by osmosis. There’s no continuation of the Nolan films. It’s very much trying to find a way to do this as something that for me is going to be definitively Batman and new and cool."

What Batman character would you like to see Oscar Isaac take on? I guess there's always the chance they might want him for Batman!
