Owen Wilson to Star Opposite Comedian Matt Rife in ROLLING LOUD Father and Son Comedy
Owen Wilson is set to star alongside comedian Matt Rife in the upcoming R-rated father and son comedy Rolling Loud.
The film is inspired by a true story set at the hip-hop festival of the same name, which is celebrating its 10th year.
Rolling Loud follows “an overprotective father (Wilson) who makes the worst parenting decision of his life when he sneaks his 13-year-old son into the world’s largest hip-hop music festival.”
This sets off “a chaotic adventure with his reckless co-worker (Rife) and an eccentric festival volunteer as they navigate wild crowds, security, and their own family dynamics.”
The movie comes from writer and director Jeremy Garelick (American High) and kicked off production at the festival in Miami this past weekend.
This sounds like it could be a fun comedy! It’s also exciting to see R-rated comedies making a theatrical comeback. I just enjoy the bold, unapologetic humor for adult audiences and how they blend outrageous antics with heartfelt storytelling.
