Patrick Stewart Once Again Reacts To That DOCTOR STRANGE 2 Fan Speculation
A lot of fans are still convinced that Patrick Stewart is going to show up as Professor X in Marvel’s Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness. I can’t help but think that the team at Marvel Studios is having a laugh at the whole thing.
I’m still not convinced that it’s Stewart that we’re hearing in the trailer. Stewart previously addressed the fan speculation, saying: "You know, people have been imitating my voice ever since I came on the stage 60 years ago. So, I can't be held responsible for that."
Between now and the time that the Doctor Strange sequel is released, every interview that Stewart does will involve a question about whether or not he’s in the Marvel movie. Now, he’s just having fun with it. In another recent interview when the actor was asked about it he simply replied: “Who’s Doctor Strange?”
You can check out that clip from the interview below:
I’m just keeping my expectations in check. Marvel Studios enjoys messing around with the fans and they use a lot of smoke and mirrors to pull off their marketing magic. They make fans believe one thing, and then do something else completely unexpected. Hell, they’ve shot fake scenes just for trailers!
We’ll just have to wait and see what happens and how this next Doctor Strange story plays out. Do you think Professor X is going to show up? Honestly, the more I think about it, the more I hope that the Fox Marvel universe is not incorporated with the MCU. I’d like to see something fresh.
Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness hits theaters on May 4.
