Patrick Stewart Teases His DOCTOR STRANGE 2 Involvement and Reminds Fans That Professor X Has Died Twice

Patrick Stewart recently confirmed that that’s his voice we hear in the trailer for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness saying “We should tell him the truth." He previously shared:

"I had my phone turned off as it happened, so I didn't hear anything. It wasn't until the next morning when I woke up and looked at my phone and found that I had been bombarded with responses. My PR people had sent me reactions that they had detailed and passed onto me.

"I actually didn't recognize my own voice. It sounded different. Whether I had a cold or something at the time, I don't know. I was astonished — and all they saw was the back of my shoulder and I think my earlobe, nothing else — that there would have been so many connections made. But it pleased me [to see the reactions]."

Well, the actor continues to tease his involvement with the highly anticipated Marvel movie and wanted to remind fans that Professor X has already died twice. In an interview with Rolling Stone, Stewart said:

"This is a very delicate area... All I can say to you is we'll have to see, but bear in mind that Professor Xavier has already died twice. I think he must have some sort of Superman quality."

These are some interesting comments, and I’m curious to see how that somehow reflects on his involvement in the story for Multiverse of Madness. In the end, it’ll be interesting to see what truth he’s going to reveal to Doctor Strange in the film.

Like all of you, there are a lot of questions that I have regarding this next Doctor Strange movie, and I can’t wait for the movie to be released so that those questions will be answered!

Here’s the synopsis for Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness: "Now that Iron Man and Captain America have left after a fierce battle in Avengers: Endgame, former genius surgeon and the strongest magician of them all, Doctor Strange, is expected to play an active role as a central figure in the Avengers. However, using his magic to manipulate time and space at will with a forbidden spell that is considered the most dangerous has opened the door to a mysterious madness called 'the Multiverse.' To restore a world where everything is changing, Strange seeks help from his ally Wong, the Sorcerer Supreme, and the Avengers' most powerful Scarlet Witch, Wanda. But a terrible threat looms over humanity and the entire universe that no longer can be done by their power alone. Even more surprising, the greatest threat in the universe looks exactly like Doctor Strange".

Doctor Strange in the Multiverse of Madness will be in theaters on May 6th, 2022.
