Paul Rudd Joins Director Jason Reitman's GHOSTBUSTERS 3!
Well, that new Ghostbusters movie coming from director Jason Reitman just got a hell of a lot more exciting! According to Variety, Paul Rudd (Ant-Man) is joining the film! According to the report, he will be playing a teacher.
I love Paul Rudd, so I couldn’t be more hyped that he is going to be in this Ghostbusters 3 movie! He will join the previously cast Finn Wolfhard, Carrie Coon, and McKenna Grace. Also, it was recently confirmed that Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Sigourney Weaver, and Ernie Hudson would be back to reprise their roles as well.
Reitman had this to say about the casting in a statement:
“I’ve been wanting to work with Paul Rudd since my short film opened for ‘Wet Hot American Summer’ at Sundance. I’m thrilled he’ll be joining this new chapter in the original Ghostbusters universe.”
The film is said to be a love letter to the original movie and that it will have an Amblin-style feel to it. It’s also been reported that it will “focus on a family who moves back home to a small town. While there, they begin to ‘learn more about who they are and the secrets of the town itself.’”
Are you happy to hear that Paul Rudd is going to be in the new Ghostbusters movie? What’s funny about this, is Rudd was rumored to be a part of Ghostbusters 3 way back in 2008.
Ghostbusters is slated to hit theaters on July 10th, 2020 and I can’t wait!
