PEACEMAKER Season 2 Episode 8 Trailer Teases DCU’s Most Dangerous Multiverse Showdown
The Peacemaker Season 2 Episode 8 promo has dropped, and it’s setting the stage for one hell of a finale. Titled “Full Nelson”, the trailer teases the explosive conclusion to Christopher Smith’s multiversal nightmare. After a season full of betrayals, shifting loyalties, and battles across alternate worlds, it all comes down to this.
Episode 7 ended with Chris surrendering himself to A.R.G.U.S. after a brutal confrontation on Earth-X, a reality where the Nazis won World War II. For a brief moment, he bought into the twisted illusion of having his father August and brother Keith back, but the truth broke him. Now Keith has sworn revenge, and Chris finds himself once again in chains as the fate of the DCU hangs in the balance.
The new trailer wastes no time reminding us what’s at stake. Peacemaker, locked up and defiant, declares, “I’m the angel of f*ing death.”
Meanwhile, Rick Flag Sr. leads a mission into the Quantum Unfolding Chamber, a gateway to alternate realities that could reshape everything. A.R.G.U.S. may be pulling the strings, but the footage hints that even Chris’s team is questioning if their motives can be trusted.
This finale isn’t just about wrapping up Season 2, it’s a critical link to the larger DCU. James Gunn confirmed the season serves as a prequel to Man of Tomorrow (2027), with Flag Sr.’s uneasy alliance with Lex Luthor forming a direct bridge.
That connection, along with looming threats like Captain Triumph and other multiversal dangers, promises a showdown unlike anything Peacemaker has faced before.
When asked about what comes next, Gunn said: “It is not right now. I think that people should—that doesn’t mean there aren’t plans for these characters, but it’s not necessarily Season 3 of Peacemaker. And then people should watch Episode 8 to see what happens, because maybe some of your questions will be answered in that episode by itself.”
The Peacemaker Season 2 finale “Full Nelson” premieres Thursday, October 9, 2025, at 9:00 p.m. ET on HBO Max.
