PEAKY BLINDERS: THE IMMORTAL MAN Trailer Teases a Brutal WWII Chapter and His Darkest Reckoning Yet
Netflix has released a new trailer for Peaky Blinders: The Immortal Man, the feature film continuation of Steven Knight’s hit crime saga, and it looks like Tommy Shelby is heading into his darkest chapter yet.
The film hits select theaters on March 6, 2026, before launching globally on Netflix on March 20. If you’ve been waiting to see Peaky Blinders return in full cinematic glory, we’re almost there.
Directed by Tom Harper and written by Knight, the movie brings Oscar-winner Cillian Murphy back as the razor-sharp and haunted Tommy Shelby, a role he defined across the BAFTA-winning series from 2013 to 2022.
The trailer drops us into a world gripped by World War II and teases a reckoning that feels personal, political, and explosive.
The official logline reads: “Birmingham, 1940. Amidst the chaos of WWII, Tommy Shelby is driven back from a self-imposed exile to face his most destructive reckoning yet. With the future of the family and the country at stake, Tommy must face his own demons and choose whether to confront his legacy or burn it to the ground.”
That setup signals a major shift in scale. This isn’t just another gangland power play. It’s war. It’s legacy. It’s a man who’s spent years building an empire now staring down everything he’s done.
Murphy is joined by a killer cast that includes Rebecca Ferguson, Tim Roth, Sophie Rundle, Barry Keoghan, Stephen Graham, and Jay Lycurgo. Returning from the original series alongside Murphy, Rundle, and Graham are Ned Dennehy, Packy Lee, and Ian Peck, bringing that authentic Peaky Blinders grit back to the screen.
The original Peaky Blinders series, created and written by Knight, became a global phenomenon and over six seasons, it built a massive fan base and turned Tommy Shelby into one of the most iconic antiheroes in modern television.
Now, with The Immortal Man, the story gets the cinematic treatment it always felt destined for. The trailer leans into that larger scope with wartime tension, sweeping visuals, and a Tommy Shelby who looks like he’s carrying the weight of the world on his shoulders.
