PERCY JACKSON AND THE OLYPIANS Season 2 Trailer Sets Sail for Adventure in The Sea of Monsters
The demigods are diving back into action. Disney+ has dropped a brand-new trailer for Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2, and it teases an epic new chapter filled with danger, monsters, and mythic quests that’ll make fans of the Percy Jackson books cheer.
The hit fantasy series, created by Rick Riordan and Jonathan E. Steinberg, first premiered on Disney+ in December 2023 and brought Riordan’s beloved world to life like never before.
Starring Walker Scobell as Percy Jackson, Leah Sava Jeffries as Annabeth Chase, and Aryan Simhadri as Grover Underwood, the first season followed The Lightning Thief. Now, Season 2 is ready to dive headfirst into the second book in the series, The Sea of Monsters.
Season 2’s official synopsis reveals what’s ahead: “After Camp Half-Blood’s protective border is breached, Percy Jackson embarks on an epic odyssey into the Sea of Monsters in search of his best friend Grover and the one thing that may save the camp — the Golden Fleece.
“With help from Annabeth, Clarisse, and his newfound cyclops half-brother Tyson, Percy’s survival is crucial in the fight to stop Luke, the Titan Kronos, and their impending plan to bring down Camp Half-Blood — and ultimately, Olympus.”
This season brings plenty of new faces to the pantheon of Greek gods and heroes. Charlie Bushnell returns as Luke Castellan, joined by Dior Goodjohn as Clarisse La Rue and Daniel Diemer as Tyson, Percy’s cyclops half-brother.
The cast also features Jason Mantzoukas as Dionysus, Timothy Simons as Tantalus, Lin-Manuel Miranda as Hermes, and Sandra Bernhard, Kirsten Schaal, and Margaret Cho as the delightfully weird Gray Sisters. Courtney B. Vance will now play Zeus, taking over the role after Lance Reddick’s passing in 2023.
From the looks of the trailer, The Sea of Monsters is upping the stakes with bigger battles, more mythological creatures, and a deeper dive into Percy’s destiny. Fans can expect a mix of thrilling adventure and emotional growth as Percy faces new threats and discovers what it truly means to be a hero.
Percy Jackson and the Olympians Season 2 premieres on Disney+ on December 10, 2025, and the demigod saga isn’t slowing down anytime soon. The series has already been renewed for a third season, which will adapt The Titan’s Curse.
