Pixar's Pete Docter Confirms Some of the Returning Characters in TOY STORY 5
A few months ago, Disney announced that they are developing Toy Story 5, an unexpected sequel in the franchise. After the third film, fans were shocked to hear the fourth was being made, as the third movie seemed to wrap up the story that started way back with Toy Story in 1995. But the fourth movie was great, a huge hit in the box office, and it opened up the story to new adventures within the world of the toys, who are continuing to live on, with and without owners.
The fourth film ended with our favorite toys, Buzz and Woody, parting ways. So that did lead fans to wonder what exactly this next film would be about. But I’m glad to report that Pixar filmmaker and Toy Story writer and producer Pete Docter has confirmed two of the characters we will be seeing in the next movie. In a recent interview with Variety, Docter talked about all the things the studio is working on, and he briefly mentioned, “We have another Toy Story, so Woody and Buzz are back.” He didn’t elaborate, but that’s some great news!
The only other bit of info Docter has revealed about the film came in a previous interview with The Wrap,, saying, “I think it’ll be surprising. It’s got some really cool stuff that you haven’t seen before.”
So that’s all we know, but knowing that Buzz and Woody will both be back is assurance enough to know this will more than likely be another Toy Story hit!
