POKEMON RED and POKEMON BLUE May Be Adapted into a Film

There’s a new rumor going around about live-action Pokémon movies. We’ve already seen rumors of a spin-off to Detective Pikachu, but now it turns out there might be a third film in this new cinematic universe. Not going to lie, I’m still a little apprehensive about Detective Pikachu, but it might surprise me. This makes me more apprehensive for the news that there may be a Pokémon Red and Pokémon Blue film in the works. Keep in mind, that would be one film since the games are identical in terms of story. This would be a much better show in my opinion. The story isn’t complex or crazy, it’s simply long. Long enough where I would want it to be about 3 or 4 seasons of about 8-10 episodes.

According to We Got This Covered, this film would be connected to Detective Pikachu, but minimally. If these rumored spin-offs are true, I have to say, Legendary, please calm down. Not everything has to lead to a cinematic universe. I’m not even sure I want these live-action Pokémon films. Let me see Detective Pikachu before you start working on more films.

Pokémon Red and Blue have already been adapted into an anime called Pokémon Origins and it is incredible. If you have the chance, I highly recommend checking it out.
