PREY Director Dan Trachtenberg Is Directing New Standalone PREDATOR Film BADLANDS

Prey director Dan Trachtenberg is developing another new Predator movie. This project is described as a standalone movie titled Badlands, the filmmaker will write and direct the movie and it will shoot later this year.

Badlands is said to be a high priority for the 20th Century Studios, and sources say Trachtenberg and producers are already meeting with talent for the lead role.

I should probably clarify that this is not a sequel to Prey. That movie is still in the works and the film’s star Amber Midthunder is expected to return, but no talent is officially attached to the sequel yet.

The story details for Badlands have not been revealed, but we know that it will revolve around a menacing Predator on the hunt. The new film is also believed to get a theatrical release, unlike Prey, which went straight to Hulu.

I’m excited to learn more about this Predator movie! It’ll be interesting to see what the setting will be and what kind of story will be told.
