Promo Teaser for GODZILLA X KONG: THE NEW EMPIRE with Story Details and Release Date!
Warner Bros. Pictures and Legendary Pictures have announced the official title for its next installment in the Monsterverse film franchise, Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire! The announcement came in a promo teaser that offers a little tease of what’s coming.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire is “the thrilling fifth film in the Monsterverse series and sees the legendary Titans Godzilla and Kong team up to face a world-ending threat so terrifying that neither could survive alone.”
That threat is teased in the video, which also features the skulls of the two Titans. Godzilla and Kong faced off in the last film, but in this next movie, they are going to fight alongside each other, and that will be fun to see!
Adam Wingard returns to direct the film, and it stars Rebecca Hall as Dr. Ilene Andrews, Brian Tyree Henry as fan-favorite Bernie Hayes, and Kaylee Hottle as Jia. Dan Stevens, Fala Chen and Rachel House also join the cast.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire “will transport audiences into the unexplored depths of a brave new world of spectacular new monsters, heroic adventurers, and awe-inspiring set pieces on a scale unlike anything ever seen before. The screenplay is by Simon Barrett (You’re Next, The Guest). Legendary’s whole Monsterverse franchise is an expansive story universe centering around humanity’s battle of survival against real, life-threatening monsters.
Godzilla x Kong: The New Empire opens in theaters and IMAX on March 15, 2024.
