"Necessary Evil" Storyline to Introduce the White Ranger into POWER RANGER Comics

WonderCon had some big news for Power Rangers fans. In addition to information about a graphic novel focusing on the Psycho Rangers and some new information about bringing the Green Ranger to Go Go Power Rangers, BOOM! Studios revealed a bit more about the upcoming storyline, “Necessary Evil.” This is the storyline that is apparently bringing the White Ranger into the picture. Hype much!?

Not much is known about “Necessary Evil,” but here’s what we do know. First, like “Shattered Grid” this story will cross over into both Mighty Morphin Power Rangers and Go Go. Second, Ryan Parrott will be writing the story for both books with SIna Grace helping with Go Go as co-writer. Third, Danielle di Nicuolo will be drawing the beautiful art and Walter Baiamonte will be serving as colorist. Fourth, Senior Editor Dafna Pleban said the following:

“The first appearance of the White Ranger is only one of the big revelations in Necessary Evil, as we learn just what happened after the Mighty Morphin team disappeared after the events of Shattered Grid. Ryan and Daniele, along with our partners at Hasbro, have crafted a Power Rangers epic with surprises around every turn and an ending that changes everything!”

I’m really excited for “Necessary Evil” and will now be spending my days getting caught up in the comics again before it begins in MMPR #40 which is due out on June 26.
