Quentin Tarantino is Looking For a New Home For His Manson Family Film

Every movie that Quentin Tarantino has made in his career has been made with Harvey Weinstein at Miramax and The Weinstein Company. Well, that all going to change with his next film. Like everyone else in Hollywood, Tarantino no longer wants to be associated with Harvey Weinstein in any way so he's looking for a new studio to produce his new movie.

According to Deadline, ever major studio is reading the script right now except for Disney because, well... Disney isn't going to be involved with a Tarantino film!

The movie is being referred to a #9 because it's Tarantino's ninth movie. The story was initially rumored to be set in the late '60s-early 70s in Los Angeles and that it would follow the Manson family murders. The initial report described the film as centering "on Sharon Tate, the actress, and wife of director Roman Polanski who was murdered by Manson and his followers in 1969."

The recent report goes on to say, "there has been a lot of press that the script focuses on Charles Manson and the murder spree he orchestrated, but I’m told that is akin to calling Inglourious Basterds a movie about Adolf Hitler, when the Nazi leader was only in a scene or two." So, maybe Manson won't really be the main focus of it at all.

One thing we do know for sure is that Sharon Tate will be the central character and that Tarantino is looking at casting Margot Robbie to star, which would be perfect casting. Tarantino has also been in talks with Brad Pitt, Leonardo DiCaprio and Samuel L. Jackson, to join the project as well. However, as of right now, no one is locked in.

I'm really curious to see what Tarantino ends up doing with this film. I love all of the movies that he's made in his career and I'm sure this one is going to tell another crazy rough and rowdy story.
