Ray Fisher Says Warner Bros. Has Launched an Investigation into the JUSTICE LEAGUE Reshoots
As you know, earlier this summer Justice League actor Ray Fisher accused director Joss Whedon and producers Geoff Johns and Jon Berg of abusive and unprofessional behavior on the set of the reshoots for the film.
While Whedon and Johns haven’t responded to the accusations, Berg claimed at one point that Fisher's main issue was being asked to say Cyborg's catchphrase, "Booyah!" in the movie. Fisher himself hasn’t shared any of the details regarding his accusation, but he’s now confirmed that WarnerMedia has launched an official third-party investigation to get to the bottom of what happened.
Fisher posted the following on Twitter:
“After 5 weeks of interviews with various cast/crew, @WarnerMedia has officially launched an independent third-party investigation to get to the heart of the toxic and abusive work environment created during Justice League reshoots. This is a MASSIVE step forward!
“I believe this investigation will show that Geoff Johns, Joss Whedon, Jon Berg (and others) grossly abused their power during the uncertainty of AT&T’s merger with Time Warner. Thank you @WarnerMedia and @ATT for making strides to ensure a safer workplace for all!”
Well, it will be interesting to see what will come of this. None of the other main actors in Justice League has come out and said anything, but I’m sure they will be included in the investigation. There were reports that Gal Gadot refused to shoot the scene in the film where The Flash fell on her breasts. Johns and Whedon bullied and pressured her to do it, but in the end she didn’t, and her stunt double had to step in and do it.
Whedon hasn’t really done much since Justice League, so it’s not like he has any big projects coming up that these acquisitions can tarnish. However, Berg and Johns still are with Warner Bros. and DC Entertainment, so if the investigation finds anything, I guess they could face consequences.
