REACHER Scores Season 6 Renewal as Prime Video Hit Keeps Growing

Prime Video is keeping Jack Reacher in business. Reacher has officially been renewed for Season 6, giving Alan Ritchson another round as the massive, trouble-magnet hero before Season 5 has even finished filming.

At this point, the early renewal isn’t much of a surprise. The action series has been a major performer for Amazon since its 2022 debut, and its audience continues to grow.

According to Amazon, Season 4 pulled in 66 million viewers worldwide during its first 28 days after premiering on August 12. The eight-episode season wrapped on September 16 and now ranks among Prime Video’s five most-viewed seasons of any original series. Across its entire run, Reacher has reached 200 million viewers globally.

Those are some pretty impressive numbers, and Amazon clearly wants to keep Ritchson cracking skulls and wandering into increasingly dangerous situations for as long as audiences keep showing up.

Season 4 adapted Lee Child’s Gone Tomorrow, which follows Reacher as a chance encounter with a distraught stranger on a subway pulls him into a deadly situation.

Joining Ritchson in the fourth season were Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson.

Before Season 6 arrives, though, there’s still another adventure on the way. Reacher Season 5 is currently shooting in Toronto and will adapt Child’s Make Me.

Prime Video is also expanding the franchise beyond its leading man. The first season of the spinoff Neagley, starring Maria Sten, was recently released, giving another fan-favorite character from the Reacher universe her own series.

With Season 5 already filming and Season 6 officially locked in, Prime Video clearly sees plenty more mileage in Jack Reacher. I’m loving the series, so the more seasons the better!
