REACHER Season 5 Officially Ordered Ahead of Season 4 Premiere
Prime Video clearly knows it has a massive hit on its hands with Reacher. The streaming service has officially renewed the action series for Season 5 before Season 4 has even premiered, which says a lot about just how popular the show has become with audiences around the world.
Based on Lee Child’s bestselling Jack Reacher novels, the series stars Alan Ritchson as the wandering former military investigator who travels from town to town carrying almost nothing with him except a toothbrush, sharp instincts, and the ability to absolutely wreck anyone dumb enough to cross him.
The upcoming fourth season adapts Gone Tomorrow, the 13th novel in Child’s long-running book series. The story kicks off with Reacher encountering a troubled stranger on a subway ride, but things spiral into something far bigger and far deadlier.
According to the official description, Reacher gets pulled into “a complex and deadly game” involving dangerous enemies tied to powerful people at the highest levels.
Season 4 also brings in a fresh lineup of cast members including Chris Marquette, Sydelle Noel, Agnez Mo, Anggun, Kevin Weisman, Marc Blucas, Kevin Corrigan, and Kathleen Robertson. Production on the season wrapped back in March, and it’s expected to premiere later this year.
Peter Friedlander, Head of Global Television, Amazon MGM Studios said: “From Lee Child’s globally beloved novels to its standout on-screen adaptation, Reacher has evolved into a true powerhouse franchise.
“The series’ ability to combine high-octane action with compelling character storytelling continues to resonate with tens of millions of viewers around the world. We’re excited to move forward with a fifth season ahead of Season Four’s debut and to build on this incredible momentum.”
At this point, Reacher has become one of Prime Video’s biggest action franchises, and fans have fully embraced Ritchson’s take on the character.
The show delivers exactly what viewers want from a Jack Reacher story with brutal fights, smart investigations, intimidating villains, and a lead character who walks into chaos and handles business.
