REACHER Star Alan Ritchson Teases Season 4 Release in 2026: “It's by Far the Best Season We've Had Yet”

The hit Prime Video action series Reacher has officially wrapped production on its next chapter, and star Alan Ritchson is already hyping it up in a big way. According to the actor, Season 4 is finished filming and is set to arrive on Prime Video sometime in 2026.

Even better, Ritchson says the upcoming season might be the strongest one yet.

Ritchson recently confirmed the update while speaking with Collider, revealing that production has already wrapped and that the show’s return isn’t far off.

"Well, we finished shooting Season 4 of Reacher. It's by far the best season we've had yet, so it's coming. It'll be out this year."

While he didn’t lock down a specific release date, hearing that the new season is already complete means the wait won’t be too painful for fans eager to see Jack Reacher back in action.

Since the series debuted, Reacher has grown into one of Prime Video’s biggest action hits. A big reason for that is Ritchson himself. His towering build and laid-back swagger have made him a perfect fit for Lee Child’s wandering military police investigator who drifts from town to town taking down criminals much bigger than themselves.

Each season seems to push that physical challenge even further. Season 3 raised the bar in a big way when Reacher faced an absolutely massive villain named Paulie, played by Olivier Richters, a real-life giant who dwarfs most actors on screen.

Ritchson previously talked about the brutal production that went into that showdown, saying: "The whole season was this build up towards this fight with the giant Olivier Richters...he's 7'2, 400 pounds, and we spent three weeks filming this entire episode where we just fought continuously."

That fight became one of the show’s most memorable sequences, and it’s exactly the kind of over-the-top action fans tune in for. If Ritchson’s claim about Season 4 being the best yet holds true, viewers might be in for something even bigger.

The 16th book in the Reacher series, Gone Tomorrow, will serve as the inspiration for the show’s upcoming season.

The story follows Reacher back into the chaos of New York City and Washington, D.C., where he witnesses something disturbing on a late-night subway: a woman showing all the signs of a potential suicide bomber.

Reacher doesn’t back away. He confronts her. But before he can get real answers, she pulls out a gun and ends her own life right in front of him. From there, things spiral into a dark conspiracy involving the Pentagon, buried secrets, and people who really don’t want Reacher asking questions.

Ritchson’s performance in Reacher has also turned him into a fan favorite across the entertainment world. His size, screen presence, and humor have led to constant superhero fan casting online.

For now, though, Ritchson seems perfectly locked in as Jack Reacher, and fans clearly aren’t complaining. With Season 4 finished and a 2026 release planned, the next chapter of the globe-trotting crimefighter’s story could end up being the biggest one yet.
