Red-Band Trailer For Genndy Tartakovsky’s R-Rated Animated Comedy FIXED
Netflix has released the first Red-Band teaser trailer for Genndy Tartakovsky’s (Samurai Jack, Primal, Hotel Transylvania, Star Wars: Clone Wars) R-rated animated film project titled Fixed, and as you’ll see, this thing is filled with raunchy comedy.
The movie follows a dog named Bull, who finds out he's gonna get neutered in the morning because of his constant humping of grandma’s leg, and the story follows what he does with his next 24 hours.
As the gravity of this life-altering event sets in, Bull realizes he needs one last adventure with his pack of best friends in the last 24 hours with his balls intact.
Tartakovsky was inspired by films like The 40-Year-Old Virgin and Knocked Up when developing this project, and you can see this influence in the trailer.
Tartakovsky previously talked about the movie, saying: “Some people might get uncomfortable.” But, the goal for him isn’t to shock audiences, the goal for him is to make “a classic movie. Like Lady and the Tramp or 101 Dalmatians, but rated R. If you can look past the balls and the buttholes, you will find a very sweet, charming, sincere story of friendship and romance.”
Comedian and actor Adam Divine (Pitch Perfect) voices Bull and is joined in the voice cast by Idris Elba as a self-assured boxer named Rocco, Bobby Moynihan plays his goofy pal Lucky, and Fred Armisen as wannabe influencer dachshund Fetch.
Kathryn Hahn voices the statuesque pedigree show dog Honey, and the voice cast also features Beck Bennett, Michelle Buteau and River Gallo.
This film has been a passion project for Tartovsky and it’s been 16 years in the making. The movie premiered at the Annecy International Film Festival and ausdinces there loved it!
The whacky-looking film is set to be released on August 13th.
