RICK AND MORTY Co-Creator Believes the Series Could Continue for Decades Like THE SIMPSONS

Rick once said to his grandson Morty in a past episode of Adult Swim’s Rick and Morty, "Rick and Morty forever, 100 years.” While the show won’t reach 100 years of new episodes, co-creator Dan Harmon believes that the animated series could be a fixture of animated TV for several years to come.

A recent profile piece in THR reports that, “Harmon believes it could mirror The Simpsons and continue for decades.” I could see this! I could see Rick and Morty still going for decades! It’s the kind of series that would allow for that to happen.

The Simpsons originally aired back in 1989, I was eleven years old, and it’s about to start its 35th season, which is absolutely bonkers to me! But, I love it! As for Rick and Morty, the show is getting close to celebrating its 10th birthday.

There’s a lot of life in this show and there are endless adventures for Rick and Morty! Whatever happens with the series, I just hope that it continues for several years to come. Would you like to see Rick and Morty continue for decades?

Rick and Morty Season 7 is currently slated to make its premiere on Adult Swim on Sunday, October 15th at 11:00PM ET/PT.
