Rob Zombie Shares Our Best Look Yet at THE MUNSTERS Movie He's Making
Rob Zombie has shared another photo from The Munsters movie that he’s currently making and this is pretty much our best look yet at what he’s making. The photo features Jeff Daniel Phillips as Herman Munster, Sheri Moon Zombie as Lily Munster, and Dan Roebuck as Grandpa standing around on the set of their creepy home preparing to shoot their next scene.
The image came with the following note from Zombie: “A view from my monitor. Three very tired Munsters trying to conserve their energy between takes. It’s been a tough one for this trio. Three hours in makeup - 14 hours of shooting - one hour of clean up. Then a drive back to the hotel, grab a few zzz and straight back on set. It’s definitely the end of a long day here. Outside the stage the sun is definitely beginning to rise. Working from sunrise to sunrise. Cheers to these three for always bringing the thunder.
The film follows a family of benign monsters who relocate from Transylvania to the American suburbs. The rest of the cast includes Doctor Who and Hobbit actor Sylvester McCoy, who is playing Igor, "the faithful servant of the family,” and Elvira actress Cassandra Peterson as a real estate agent.
The movie will be hit with a PG rating, which is what Zombie was going for. He explained, “For those of you speculating, wondering and assuming that The Munsters would be dirty, violent and nasty…well, you are wrong. It’s all good down on Mockingbird Lane.”
The movie is set up at Universal Studios’ 1440 Entertainment division, and it will likely go directly to streaming. No release date has been set yet for the film.
