Rumored Details on Doctor Doom’s AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY Allies and the Reported MIDNIGHT SONS Roster
Rumors around Doctor Doom’s role in the Marvel Cinematic Universe just took another intriguing turn. Fresh chatter points to new details about who will be standing beside Victor Von Doom in Avengers: Doomsday, while a separate leak claims the long-whispered Midnight Sons lineup may finally be taking shape.
There’s been no shortage of speculation about Doom’s inner circle in Avengers: Doomsday. Depending on who you ask, he’s been linked to everything from obedient Doom Variants to corrupted versions of Earth’s Mightiest Heroes, or even a mechanical army of Doombots.
According to insider Daniel Richtman, the reality might land somewhere in between. His latest update claims Doctor Doom will be accompanied by multiple masked allies throughout the film.
These sidekicks are said to be both men and women, though Richtman isn’t certain whether they’re loyal followers or Variants pulled from across the multiverse.
Previous rumors suggested that while these figures might initially appear to be alternate versions of Victor Von Doom, removing the masks could reveal familiar faces. Characters like the Scarlet Witch and possibly even Tony Stark have been floated as potential surprises.
If that idea holds any truth, it opens up a lot of questions about Doom’s true motivations in Avengers: Doomsday. Directors Anthony Russo and Joseph Russo have previously compared Doom’s mindset to Thanos, suggesting he’ll see himself as the hero of the story, or at least present himself that way.
While Doom dominates one corner of the rumor mill, the supernatural side of the MCU is also heating up. Leaker @MyTimeToShineH has shared what’s being described as the current planned roster for Midnight Sons.
Like earlier claims, the team is reportedly built around Blade, Ghost Rider, Moon Knight, Wong, Werewolf by Night, Man-Thing, and Black Knight. The new wrinkle is the addition of Elsa Bloodstone, who’s now said to be part of the lineup as well.
Talk of a Midnight Sons movie has been floating around for years, even though Marvel Studios has never officially confirmed the project. At this point, it almost feels logical for Mahershala Ali’s Daywalker to properly debut there before showing up in the still-delayed Blade reboot. Still, until Marvel says something publicly, it’s all very much in the rumor zone.
What does feel clear is that Marvel hasn’t fully tapped into its supernatural roster since Werewolf by Night landed on Disney+. If these plans are real and the next Saga leans harder into monsters, magic, and darker corners of the universe, that’s an exciting shift.
Between Doctor Doom’s mysterious allies and a possible Midnight Sons team finally assembling, the MCU might be gearing up for some seriously cool storytelling.
