Ryan Reynolds and Chris Hemsworth Know Why Thor Is Crying in DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE but Won't Say
Marvel lifted the embargo on Deadpool & Wolverine spoilers, so the actors and directors are posting lots of spoiler-filled details on social media. But, I personally wouldn't consider this an important one.
During Deadpool & Wolverine, we see a fun little throwaway scene of Deadpool (Ryan Reynolds) being held by Thor (Chris Hemsworth) who is crying over Wade Wilson's bruised and battered body.
While watching this on one of the screens at the TVA, Deadpool asks exactly why Thor is crying over him, and of course, they brush it off explaining that it's a "An event in the distant future." So what exactly does that mean?
"Deadpool can't die though?" my mom asked. That conversation took me on a deep dive and there are a few ways you can kill Deadpool like “throwing him into the sun,” or “dropping a planet on him.”
Other ways to off Deadpool: Mutation dampening collar, crushing his brain (which led to a fun little discussion on what that means and if blending it would be the correct way) time, he can still grow old, Weapon X that can erode him from the inside out, Detaching his head for more than 12 minutes.
Reynolds addressed the scene on X, saying: "I know why Thor was crying. I can’t unknow it," and it was accompanied by an image from the scene.
Hemsworth then replied to the post, saying: "I can keep secrets too." Watch this space.
This scene could be important, but it’s most likely a fun little bit to play with over the course of the movie.
I am curious to see if they bring that up in future movies. Perhaps, we will see that scene with Thor and Deadpool play out one day. I'm still waiting for my Team Red movie to be announced.
What are your thoughts on the scene? is it important or just a fun scene that was put in for shits and giggles?
