Ryan Reynolds Says DEADPOOL & WOLVERINE is "The Best Movie I've Ever Done"
Deadpool & Wolverine star Ryan Reynolds has offered some very high praise for the upcoming Marvel movie, saying that it’s the best film that he’s ever made.
During an interview with Sky News, the actor said: "At the end of the day, I'm so happy with it. It's the best movie I've ever done.”
He went on to say "He [Shawn Levy] and I had the most fun we've ever had on a film. I love making movies that bring true joy, and the underpinning of this is friendship. Every emotional aspect of the movie, I love."
Levy previously offered his own hype for the movie saying that Marvel fans will lose their minds "ten billion" times over during the movie.
Levy excited said: "There are going to be moments that the audiences are going to love, but I'll also say there are moments where they are going to lose their damn minds – like that times ten billion. Which is not a number, but I'm using it for hyperbole."
Levy goes on to say that fans and audiences will have to see the Marvel movie more than once, too, as they'll be laughing so much, they'll likely miss some of the dialogue.
The director said: "There are some moments in this movie that if you can even hear the dialogue over the laughter, we've failed.
“We went through this in the edit room, when I'm telling Ryan that every time we show a certain scene you can't hear the three lines because the audience is still laughing at the line that came before.
“Every time we had this very brotherly debate. Ryan usually won. He's like, 'Great, they'll have to see the movie again!'"
The film takes place six years after the events of Deadpool 2. Wade has hung up his uniform, he's no longer dating Vanessa, and he seems content to work as a used car salesman.
While celebrating his birthday with his friends, agents of the Time Variance Authority pluck Wade out of his reality and bring him to meet their boss, Mr. Paradox, who informs Deadpool that there's a bigger fate in store for him.
This is the start of a grand multiverse time-jumping adventure with Wolverine!
The confirmed cast for the movie also includes Hugh Jackman, Emma Corrin as Cassandra Nova, Morena Baccarin and Stefan Kapicic as Vanessa and Colossus, Matthew Macfadyen as a TVA Agent, and Leslie Uggams as Blind Al.
They are joined by Brianna Hildebrand and Shioli Kutsuna, who will also return to the franchise as Negasonic Teenage Warhead and Negasonic Teenage Warhead’s girlfriend Yukio. It was previously confirmed that Jennifer Garner will return as Elektra in the movie.
Deadpool & Wolverine will hit theaters on July 26th!
