Ryan Reynolds Finds The Real Human Tilly Norwood For Funny New Mint Mobile Ad

Hollywood has been going bonkers about AI lately, especially after the sudden announcement of virtual “actress” Tilly Norwood, which sent ripples through the entertainment world.

But, leave it to Ryan Reynolds to take that conversation and spin it into something totally unexpected, and funny, for Mint Mobile.

Reynolds’ new ad for Mint’s affordable 5G home internet takes a playful jab at the AI hype by finding and introducing audiences to the real Natalie “Tilly” Norwood, a genuine real human being.

“Everything about Mint Mobile seems unreal. And now, we’re introducing 5G home internet for $30 a month. Yes, that’s real! That’s why we invited Tilly Norwood, a real Mint customer, to help us announce it,” Reynolds says in the 30-second spot.

The ad leans into Reynolds’ signature humor as he grills Tilly on her authenticity.

“You are real, right?” he asks.

“Yep,” she replies.

“Not an AI-generated combination of actors?” Reynolds continues.

“I’m a combination of my parents,” Tilly deadpans back.

The spot wraps with a clever voiceover reminding viewers that the new Mint Mobile home internet deal is available only to “carbon-based organisms.”

Produced by Reynolds’ own Maximum Effort production company, the commercial keeps things refreshingly analog.
