Thor: Love and Thunder shooting is underway in Australia with Chris Hemsworth returning as Thor, Natalie Portman returning at Jane Foster/Thor, Tessa Thompson as Valkyrie/King of Asgard, Chris Pratt as Star-Lord/Peter Quill, Taika Waititi as Korg, Jaimie Alexander as Sif, and newcomer to the franchise, Christian Bale as Gorr the God Butcher. We recently learned that Matt Damon would be reprising his role from Thor: Ragnarok as the Asgardian actor who portrayed Loki in the play put on by the real Loki, disguised as his father.

Now some are wondering if Chris’ brother Luke Hemsworth will be back to play Asgardian actor who portrayed Thor, and if we will see Sam Neill again as well, as he portrayed Odin in the make-believe Ragnarok romp. Neill commented on the odds, saying they are “reasonably high.” In a recent interview with Entertainment Tonight, Neill was asked if he would be appearing in Thor: Love and Thunder, and he said:

"I think the odds are reasonably high. I think Taika's got something up his sleeve. We will see what happens. Travel between [New Zealand] and Australia is problematic at the moment, but we will see if something can be worked out."

This sounds like he has heard stirrings of his return. It would definitely be fun to see their cameos again, or to even see these actors play a bigger part this time around. Thor: Love and Thunder is expected to hit theaters on May 6, 2022. Would you like to see Neill come back for the sequel?
