Sebastian Stan Set to Play Donald Trump in a New Film Titled THE APPRENTICE

Here’s an interesting bit of casting news that you never thought you’d see coming. Sebastian Stan (The Falcon and The Winter Solider, Pam & Tommy) is set to star in a new film titled The Apprentice, and he will be playing a young Donald Trump. Joining him in the movie are Jeremy Strong (Succession) and Maria Bakalova (Guardians of the Galaxy Vol. 3).

The movie is described as being an “exploration of power and ambition, set in a world of corruption and deceit, The Apprentice will examine Trump’s efforts to build his real estate business in New York in the ’70s and ’80s, also digging into his relationship with infamous attorney Roy Cohn. It’s a mentor-protege story that charts the origins of a major American dynasty.”

Strong will take on the role of Roy Cohn, with Bakalova as Trump’s first wife, Ivana. This is a great cast and it’s especially going to be interesting to see Stan plays Trump. Out of every actor who could play Trump, I would have never thought that Sebastian Stan would be the actor to play him.

The movie comes from director Ali Abbasi (Holy Spider). The script for the film was written by Gabriel Sherman, whose bestseller The Loudest Voice in the Room inspired Showtime’s miniseries The Loudest Voice, starring Russell Crowe as Fox News founder Roger Ailes.

News of the film project comes as Trump stands trial in New York for fraud. He’s also currently under multiple indictments in multiple cases, and throughout all of this, he is the current Republican frontrunner for 2024.
