SEC Filing Gives Update of Disney Acquisition of 21st Century Fox as Well as Disney+ Launch

Disney is primed to finish their acquisition of 21st Century Fox later this year with some rumors already indicating that it could happen by early March. Now, we have a more official timeline. A recent SEC filing from Disney shows that they are expecting the deal to close by June. This does mean that the rumored March goal could still happen.

In addition to the acquisition of Fox, it’s also great to note that there’s some information regarding Disney+. According to the same filing, Disney+ won’t be launching until late 2019. We knew that it was coming sometime this year, but we were never given anything more specific. I know that “late 2019” still isn’t very specific, but it’s something.
