Sensational New Trailer for Baz Luhrmann’s ELVIS Starring Austin Butler and Tom Hanks
We’ve got another trailer that you’ve got to watch for director Baz Luhrmann’s upcoming film Elvis. Everything I’ve seen from this film leads me to believe that it’s going to be a stunning moviegoing experience. It’s crazy how much Austin Butler looks and sounds like the iconic singer Elvis Presley, and there’s no doubt he’ll deliver a phenomenal performance. The movie also stars Tom Hanks as Colonel Tom Parker.
The film explores “the life and music of Elvis Presley (Butler), seen through the prism of his complicated relationship with his enigmatic manager, Colonel Tom Parker (Hanks). The story delves into the complex dynamic between Presley and Parker spanning over 20 years, from Presley’s rise to fame to his unprecedented stardom, against the backdrop of the evolving cultural landscape and loss of innocence in America. Central to that journey is one of the most significant and influential people in Elvis’s life, Priscilla Presley (Olivia DeJonge).”
Priscilla Presley previously shared her reaction to watching the movie, calling Butler’s performance outstanding, and the film brilliant. She also shared how much her daughter, Lisa Marie Presley, loved it as well saying:
“I’ve seen Elvis the film, I watched the trailer over a dozen times. But the words I heard from my daughter on how much she loved the film and that Riley will love it too when she sees it brought tears. I relived every moment in this film. It took me a few days to overcome the emotions as it did with Lisa. Beautifully done Baz, Tom, Austin and Olivia.”
I’ve been an Elvis fan for as long as I can remember. I was raised listening to Elvis’s music, and I can’t wait to watch this movie! This trailer alone leaves me in awe. Check it out!
