Simon Pegg Teases "Absolutely Bananas" Tom Cruise Stunts in MISSION: IMPOSSIBLE - THE FINAL RECKONING
Simon Pegg is back in action in the next installment of the Mission: Impossible franchise in the upcoming film Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning, and the actor recently teased that Tom Cruise's stunts are going to be bigger than ever.
While a guest on the podcast Inside of You with Michael Rosenbaum, Pegg talked about the students he saw and said that this is the best film in the franchise.
"I have just finished shooting, I've got one day of pick ups to do. I've seen some of it. It's bananas. It's absolutely bananas. What he does in this one, it boggles the mind. I think this one is the best one ever. And I'm not just saying that because it's like, 'Oh you've got to say it.'"
There were some big stunts featured in the trailer for the film and one of them saw Cruise in an insane dog fight aerial scene involving two biplanes. It looks Cruise will be jumping from one plane to the other and he’s seen hanging off of the planes for dear life.
Cruise is always trying to up the ante on the stunts he does in these films, so I can’t wait to see what he’s done for this next installment of the action franchise.
In addition to Cruise, Ving Rhames, Henry Czerny, Simon Pegg, Vanessa Kirby, Esai Morales, Hayley Atwell, Shea Whigham, Pom Klementieff, and Angela Bassett are reprising their roles.
Other newcomers to the franchise include Holt McCallany, Nick Offerman, Janet McTeer, Katy O’Brian and Hannah Waddingham.
The film is directed by Christopher McQuarrie, and Mission: Impossible – The Final Reckoning hits theaters on May 23, 2025. Enjoy the trailer!
