SMALL WORLD OF WARCRAFT Launches This Summer
Small World is a fun board game published by Days of Wonder. Several months ago, we learned that the classic game was getting a World of Warcraft skin and now we have a bit more information about Small World of Warcraft. It turns out that the gameplay will be very much like the original where you choose a new race every turn with different powers every time in an effort to conquer the map (in this case Azeroth). The map, artwork, races, and powers are all being designed to be familiar to the millions of World of Warcraft players. One thing that I do notice though is that there are multiple boards and not just one. This is sure to add a new level of strategy and fun to the game.
In Small World of Warcraft, players choose combinations of special powers and races from the Warcraft universe, such as Portal Mage Pandarens or Herbalist Goblins, and vie for control of Azeroth. To help them achieve dominance, players will occupy legendary terrains and seek control of powerful artifacts. However, all empires must eventually fall, so players will need to be ready to put an overextended race into a state of “decline” and lead a new one to rule Azeroth.

I want to make sure everyone understands something. Small World of Warcraft is a standalone game and does not require any of the other Small World games to play. It supports 2-5 players and can take between 40-80 minutes (I’ve never had a game last 80 minutes). The game will launch this Summer in North America and Europe with an MSRP of $59.99. This game is sure to be perfect for Warcraft fans.
