Spectacular New Trailer for PAN with Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard the Pirate
Director Joe Wright's vision of Peter Pan looks absolutely wonderful. We have a new trailer for you to watch today offering us lots of new footage to enjoy. While we were at Comic-Con, we got a chance to see some additional footage from Pan, and the stuff I saw was absolutely stunning. Not just in the visual sense either. Yeah, the film looks great, but the performances from the actors are incredible, especially from the two lead stars: Hugh Jackman as Blackbeard the Pirate and Levi Miller as Peter Pan. You'll get a taste of what they bring to the movie in this latest trailer. Jackman is going to steal the show though. You can watch the cast and crew talk about their magical adventure at the Comic-Con panel right here.
Peter is a mischievous 12-year-old boy with an irrepressible rebellious streak, but in the bleak London orphanage where he has lived his whole life those qualities do not exactly fly. Then one incredible night, Peter is whisked away from the orphanage and spirited off to a fantastical world of pirates, warriors and fairies called Neverland. There, he finds amazing adventures and fights life-or-death battles while trying to uncover the secret of his mother, who left him at the orphanage so long ago, and his rightful place in this magical land. Teamed with the warrior Tiger Lily (Rooney Mara) and a new friend named James Hook (Garrett Hedlund), Peter must defeat the ruthless pirate Blackbeard to save Neverland and discover his true destiny—to become the hero who will forever be known as Peter Pan.
The rest of the cast includes Amanda Seyfried as Mary Darling, Adeel Akhtar as Smee, Jack Charles as Chief Great Big Little Panther, Cara Delevingne as a mermaid, Leni Zieglmeier as Wendy Darling, Lewis MacDougall as Nibs, Kathy Burke as Mother Barnabas, Na Tae-joo as Kwahu, Nonso Anozie as Bishop, Paul Kaye as Mutti Voosht, Emerald Fennell as Commander, and Jack Lowden as Dobkin.
The movie sets sails into theaters on October 9th.
