SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Reportedly Has Just One Post-Credits Scene and It Could Lead Straight Into AVENGERS: DOOMSDAY

Marvel fans have gotten used to sticking around through every second of the credits, waiting for those extra scenes that tease what's coming next. It's become part of the MCU experience. But if a new rumor turns out to be true, Spider-Man: Brand New Day might break that tradition in a pretty surprising way.

According to reliable insider Cryptic4KQual on X, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is expected to include just one post-credits scene.

That's a bit of a surprise considering MCU movies have typically featured two post-credits scenes, and every previous Spider-Man film starring Tom Holland has followed that formula. If this report is accurate, Brand New Day would be doing something a little different.

The rumor also claims that the lone post-credits scene won't simply be a fun tag or comedic moment. Instead, it's reportedly designed to serve as a direct bridge into Avengers: Doomsday, which arrives later this year.

If that's the case, Marvel may be putting all of its focus into one major setup rather than splitting things between two separate scenes.

Of course, even though Cryptic4KQual has built a solid track record with Marvel scoops, this should still be taken with a grain of salt until Marvel Studios officially confirms anything. Rumors have been flying around this movie for months, and plenty of them remain impossible to verify.

One of the biggest recent reports suggested that Peter Parker could meet a shocking fate by the end of the film, with rumors claiming he may actually die during the third act. That's a big claim, but like everything else surrounding the movie right now, nothing has been confirmed.

There's also been plenty of speculation surrounding Sadie Sink, who is making her MCU debut in Brand New Day. Marvel has kept her role completely under wraps, but fans continue to wonder if she'll be playing the legendary X-Men mutant Jean Grey.

Alongside Holland, the film brings back Zendaya as MJ and Jacob Batalon as Ned. The supporting cast also includes Mark Ruffalo, returning as Bruce Banner/Hulk, and Jon Bernthal, reprising his role as Frank Castle/The Punisher. Michael Mando, Liza Colón-Zayas, and Marvin 'Krondon' Jones III are also set to appear in key roles.

The film is directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, and with Avengers: Doomsday looming on the horizon, it certainly wouldn't be shocking if Marvel used Spider-Man: Brand New Day to tee up whatever massive event is coming next.

Whether the movie ends with one post-credits scene or more, fans will almost certainly be staying in their seats until the very end just in case Marvel has one more surprise waiting.

Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
