SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Reportedly to Feature Another MCU Hero, but Who Could It Be?

Spider-Man: Brand New Day is already shaping up to be a wild ride, but it sounds like the web-slinger won’t be the only hero swinging into action. A new report suggests that the film will feature an appearance from “at least one” more Marvel character, but we don’t know yet who it might be.

Following reports that the movie will bring in a lineup of new villains, chatter has now turned toward which allies might join Peter Parker (Tom Holland). MTTSH is reporting that, alongside The Punisher (Jon Bernthal) and The Hulk (Mark Ruffalo), “at least one more” hero will show up.

Don’t get your hopes up for a certain Hell’s Kitchen vigilante, though. The report makes it clear that “as of now,” Charlie Cox is not expected to return as Matt Murdock, aka Daredevil. The two did briefly share the screen in Spider-Man: No Way Home, and fans have been clamoring for a full-on team-up ever since. Marvel Studios clearly knows the appetite is there, so it seems more a matter of when than if.

So who else could show up? One name that keeps circulating is Jean Grey. Even though an earlier rumor about her appearance was seemingly debunked, Jeff Sneider of The Hot Mic doubled down recently, saying he is “still hearing Jean Grey” after checking in on casting. If true, that would mark a major step toward fully integrating mutants into the MCU.

Of course, the door is wide open. Any number of Avengers could make a cameo to help set the stage for bigger events like Doomsday and Secret Wars. Whether it’s an established face or someone brand new, Brand New Day is clearly stacking the deck with surprises.

For now, the speculation continues. What do you think? Are we about to see the arrival of Jean Grey, or will Marvel pull an unexpected hero out of the shadows?
