SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Teaser Unleashes the Savage Hulk Fans Have Been Missing

Marvel Studios just dropped another teaser for Spider-Man: Brand New Day, and while Spider-Man is obviously front and center, it’s someone much bigger who has everyone talking.

The latest footage finally gives fans a look at a version of Hulk that feels ripped straight out of his most ferocious comic book moments, and the reaction online has been overwhelmingly enthusiastic.

For the past several Marvel appearances, Bruce Banner has either been battling for control over his Hulk persona or living comfortably as the merged "Smart Hulk." That version certainly had its fans, but plenty of people have been waiting for the return of the unpredictable green monster who smashes first and asks questions never.

Brand New Day is delivering exactly that. The teaser opens with a mysterious figure interfering with Bruce Banner’s mind. When Spider-Man cautiously asks, "Dr. Banner?", the response isn’t what anyone expected.

Instead, Hulk growls back: "No Banner. Only Hulk."

That simple exchange immediately sets the tone. Whatever has happened to Banner, it appears his human side has been pushed aside as the unknown figure manipulates him into becoming an uncontrollable force of destruction.

The footage teases Hulk going on an all-out rampage, and fans couldn't be happier to see this version of the character back in action. It’s great to see this badass version of Hulk back in action!

It's been quite a while since the Marvel Cinematic Universe gave audiences a truly savage Hulk. Even Thor: Ragnarok leaned into a more controlled version of the character, while the Hulk seen in The Avengers and Avengers: Age of Ultron felt much more dangerous and impossible to contain.

Based on this new footage, Spider-Man: Brand New Day seems ready to bring back that terrifying powerhouse. The mysterious character's interference with Banner's wrist device appears to remove whatever control he had over his Hulk persona, unleashing pure rage once again.

There are still plenty of questions surrounding Banner's transformation. The last time audiences saw him, he'd seemingly solved the conflict between himself and Hulk by using a device worn on his wrist that allowed him to maintain both Banner's intelligence and Hulk's incredible strength in one stable personality.

Something has clearly gone very wrong. The biggest mystery now is the identity of the person tampering with Banner's mind. One of the most popular fan theories points toward Sadie Sink's Jean Grey, though Marvel hasn't confirmed anything yet.

Beyond Hulk, Spider-Man: Brand New Day is shaping up to feature one of Peter Parker's most interesting supporting casts yet, with appearances from The Punisher, Tombstone, and several other familiar faces.

If this teaser is any indication, Spider-Man isn't just dealing with street-level threats this time. He's about to come face-to-face with a Hulk who has completely abandoned Bruce Banner, and that sounds like a recipe for absolute chaos.

Fortunately, fans won't have to wait much longer to see how it all plays out. Spider-Man: Brand New Day swings into theaters on July 31, 2026.
