SPIDER-MAN: BRAND NEW DAY Trailer Smashes Records With 719 Million Views in 24 Hours
Sony and Marvel Studios just pulled off something massive. The first trailer for Spider-Man: Brand New Day was a smash hit and completely rewrote the record books.
In its first 24 hours, the trailer racked up a staggering 718.6 million views globally, according to WaveMetrix, making it the most-watched trailer debut in motion picture history.
To put that into perspective, the trailer for Spider-Man: No Way Home hit 355.5 million views in its first day. That film went on to bring in $1.9 billion worldwide.
Now Brand New Day has doubled that early momentum, which says a lot about just how invested audiences are in Peter Parker’s next chapter.
What’s even crazier is how fast it got there. The trailer blew past the 24-hour total of Deadpool & Wolverine, which landed at 373 million views, in just eight hours. It didn’t stop there. It also overtook Grand Theft Auto VI’s 475 million view debut, which had previously been considered the biggest video launch ever when it dropped in 2025.
The hype makes sense when you look at where the story is heading. Brand New Day picks up four years after the events of No Way Home. Peter Parker is now fully on his own after making the painful decision to erase himself from the lives of everyone he loves.
He’s all in on protecting New York City, operating as a full-time hero in a world that has no idea who he is. But that isolation comes with a cost. As the pressure builds, Peter starts experiencing a strange physical evolution that could put his life at risk. At the same time, a new wave of crime begins to emerge, setting the stage for what’s being teased as one of the most dangerous threats he’s ever faced.
The film brings back Tom Holland as Peter Parker alongside Zendaya, Sadie Sink, Jacob Batalon, Jon Bernthal, Tramell Tillman, Michael Mando, and Mark Ruffalo. It’s directed by Destin Daniel Cretton, with a script from Chris McKenna and Erik Sommers.
Everything about this project feels bigger, more intense, and more personal for Peter Parker. If the trailer numbers are any indication, fans are obviously starved for another great Marvel movie, and this movie will most likely deliver that.
