SPIDER-MAN: FAR FROM HOME Clip Establishes MCU As "Earth 616"

A clip has surfaced from Spider-Man: Far From Home thanks to the Ellen Show and it shows us the moment that Nick Fury introduces Peter Parker (Tom Holland) to Quentin Beck a.k.a. Mysterio (Jake Gyllenhaal).

The scene focuses on Beck explaining that he’s from an alternate Earth. They talk about the multiverse and it’s in this clip that they establish the MCU is “Earth 616” and that Mysterio is from “Earth 838”. I don’t believe that this “Earth 838” is part of the comics. If it is I’m not familiar with it. I even looked it up to make sure and couldn’t find anything.

But, Beck explains that the two worlds “share identical physical constance, level 4 symmetry.” As you’ll see, Peter is thrilled by this new development.

It sounds like this whole multiverse thing that Marvel is opening up in the MCU is on the level. Even the director of Far From Home, Jon Watts recently talked about exploring alternate dimensions. He also said that what we’ve seen in the trailer for the film is just scratching the surface. I’m excited to see what else the movie ends up diving into!

Check out the clip below and let us know what you think!
