STAR WARS JEDI: SURVIVOR Star Cameron Monaghan Says a Third Game Is in Development
The Star Wars Jedi game franchise has been a strong addition to the Star Wars universe and the stories that the two games have told in Star War Jedi: Fallen Order and Star Wars Jedi: Survivor have been interesting and great. Well, it looks like that story will continue in a third game!
Star Wars Jedi star Cameron Monaghan recently confirmed that a third game in the series is currently in development. He shared the news during the Star Wars Jedi game series panel at Ocala Comic Con 2023, saying:
“We’re working on the third. We’re in the process of doing it right now. That’s a big undertaking and there have been some conversations so far. Hopefully when all things are said and done we’ll be able to go in and make something really cool for you guys again.”
Neither developer Respawn Entertainment nor publisher Electronic Arts have officially announced a sequel, but it seems like it’s happening and that Monaghan is very involved with the process. It’s going to be cool to see what’s in store for the next chapter of Cal’s story.
This news comes only weeks after the director of the Star Wars Jedi games, Stig Asmussen, left Respawn to “pursue other adventures.” So, as of right now, it remains unclear who will take on the reigns for the third installment.
Asmussen previously talked about the future of the series saying: “I always wanted to see this as a trilogy. How can we take Cal and the crew to new places beyond what we were doing in the first game? We had a pretty decent idea of the timeframe where we wanted Survivor to take place, what the stakes were going to be, what the tone of the game was going to be, what Cal was going to be up against, and how the crew was going to factor into that. And there’s ideas of what we could do beyond that as well.”
Are you excited to hear that we’re getting a new Star Wars Jedi game?
